It's refreshing that you have an interest.
We prepare food much the same as any family or restaurant would, with much of it being home grown or produced, but it's nice to have a delivered pizza on occasion also!
Often times we grill, steak, chicken, pork or ham.
The father will sit at the head of the table, but the chair is the same as the rest except for the high chairs for the really young ones.
If there are guests, they are free to choose where they wish to sit, and generally the adults will occupy the same table and another will be used for the children
Usually, for a frolic meal, it will be only the men seated and served, the women will eat later with the children
We don't have any special rituals so to speak, although we do say a silent prayer and thanks before and after a meal.
We eat many of the same foods as any American family, but our candy and soda pop is quite limited
Much of our candy is made in the home, and that is sparingly eaten
